Uganda mulls construction of nuclear power plant with Russia
KAMPALA, Oct 18 (PRIME) -- Uganda is discussing construction of a nuclear power plant in the country with Russia, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni told PRIME on Thursday.
“We need a nuclear power plant. We currently have power coming from the Nile (dam), but it is not much, and it will be exhausted,” he said.
The chances of Russian companies to get a contract to build the plant are very high. “We are already in negotiations with them,” he said.
